Karl Joseph Brodtmann (1787-1862) was an accomplished Swiss artist and lithographer, as well as a printmaker, publisher and bookseller. Around 1824, he published Naturhistorische Bilder Gallerie aus dem Thierreiche, a collection of natural history lithographs.
