The saddlery Alp. Camille jeune was by the end of the 19th century considered the worlds foremost maker of riding equipment – a reputation which they maintained until the beginning of the 20th century. From 1881 and onwards, Alphonse Camille took the business to new heights to become one of the foremost competitors of the renowned English saddlery industry, and dominated over the English manufacturers in many markets. In 1892, Alp. Camille jeune was market leading in France and distributed riding equipment around Europe, South and Central America, the Middle East and East Asia.
These illustrations were originally part of Alp. Camille jeune’s product catalog, and show a selection of different horse supplies and riding equipment.
